Offering unbeatable value for prime skiing and snowboarding, Solitude Mountain Resort has released its 2016-2017 selection of winter vacation packages. For getaways accommodating extreme adventure or a tranquil winter break, Solitude's winter packages provides skiers and riders of all abilities access to more than 500” of annual snowfall, 1,200 acres of incredible terrain, 77 named runs, three bowls and some of the most impressive off-piste terrain in the country.
Guests booking winter packages with Solitude Resort Lodging are guaranteed the largest selection of accommodations in the Solitude Mountain Resort base area. Participating properties include The Inn at Solitude, Creekside condominiums, Powderhorn Lodge, Eagle Springs condominiums, The Crossings townhomes and a variety of private luxury homes. With the winter ski season now ended, Solitude Mountain Resort is transitioning available mountain activities over to summer operations. The resort’s dining operations begin June 9 and activities such as mountain biking, hiking, fishing, disc golf and mountain scooters will operate beginning June 17, available through October 2, 2016.
“We offer summer guests the ability to experience pure Solitude on our mountain,” said Kim Mayhew, general manager for Solitude Mountain Resort. “Whether they are seeking the thrill of a downhill mountain bike descent or the relaxation of a scenic chairlift ride, we do summers beautifully up here.”
Lift-served mountain biking, hiking and scenic rides will be offered from Solitude Village on Sunrise chairlift Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Featuring more than 20 miles of tree-lined trails, Solitude has some of the most scenic and accessible single track in Utah, with season passes available for $79, full-day passes for $20 and single ride passes for $10 (children six and under are free with a paying adult). Solitude provides top-of-the-line mountain bike and mountain scooter rentals for full day or two hours from the Powderhorn Adventure Center.

Solitude has appointed Philip Diana as Solitude Mountain Resort’s new director of lodging operations effective on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Philip is in his sixteenth year of employment at Solitude, and has worked in a variety of positions in the lodging division, including housekeeping, front desk operations, guest services and most recently Philip was the general manager of The Inn at Solitude.

Solitude Mountain Resort is hosting a multi-day, hands-on Backcountry BASECAMP in conjunction with Backcountry Magazine. Held Saturday, January 16 through Monday, January 18, editors of Backcountry Magazine, local guides and forecasters, AIARE instructors, and apparel and gear experts will be at Solitude Mountain Resort for the kickoff of BASECAMP's 2016 North America tour.
